What is the C3 Lab?
The Cultivating Curious Context (C3) Lab is dedicated to understanding how individuals grow, learn, and behave within their complex and dynamic environments.
We use an interdisciplinary, person-centered approach to investigate how school and family contexts support (or undermine) child and adolescent development. We study how a combination of individual characteristics, socialization processes, and other factors impact children and the adults who care for them.
Our primary goal is to uncover helpful insights into how we can improve the lives of children and the adults who care for them, while supporting healthier communities where all people can thrive and flourish in their unique environments!
Our commitment to YOUR perspective
The C3 Lab is committed to including all perspectives and backgrounds into our research (and research team) by prioritizing respect and compassion.
In order to understand the many factors contributing to the unique environments that individuals, families, and communities exist within, we strive to include a broad range of thoughts, experiences, and perspectives in our research. We believe this strengthens our understanding of the individual characteristics, socialization processes, and other factors that impact children and the adults who care for them.
A lot of research on families, parenting, and children have NOT included all perspectives. It’s time we get more than one-sided stories!
Thinking about participating in one of our studies? Your honest opinions, perspectives, and thoughts are invaluable to our research. Your experiences MATTER and make our research more relevant and impactful.
